Wedding Gown Bustle

Why should you add a bustle to your wedding gown?

Your train will add elegance as you walk down the aisle, but during your wedding festivities, those extra yards of lovely lace and satin will probably be in the way.  A bustle allows you to walk easily, dance and keeps the hemline cleaner.

What is a Bustle:

A Bustle is how a train is picked up after the hem is done to the dress. No wedding gown comes with a bustle but we can add a bustle to the dress. Prices vary depending on the difficulty and quantity of points.

French: The Train is pulled under the back of the skirt and attached with ribbons or buttons and loops. Depending on the gown. It adds a bit of drama to the back, and if placed low will not add bulk to the backside.

Hem bustle: The hem of the train is brought up and attached underneath the skirt with ribbons or buttons and loops. This makes the back of the gown floor-length and creates a “bubble hem” effect

Traditional Bustle or American: The fabric from the train is pulled over the skirt and attached with buttons and loops or hooks and eyes.
